FINALLY!! We think we are FINALLY finished with this New Rig!

FINALLY getting to the point that I have time to sit down and catch up on my posting!  The last post was April 30, and we had to stop working on the rig a bit to get the yard in shape from the Horrendous winter we have had.. lost some evergreens, due to the terrible Below 0º winter that  we had this year.. would not have been a major issue, except that my 50th class reunion was at our HOUSE on June 13... So we got the yard planted, trees trimmed for the HUGE bonfire, I got the house cleaned top to bottom and garage all decorated and food cooked... Weather was GREAT and we had about 75 people here. Fun was had by ALL...

So, back to work for us to finish up details....  here are pix I have taken since I last posted:

This is the headboard and curtains that came with the rig:  very masculine and just NOT my style... so

I changed the headboard and bedding to more my style... I recovered the valence boxes over the windows and made lace curtains, added the 'scrolly' headboard and pictures of us as babies. My dear friend, Sharon made the crocheted bedspread several years ago and it is truly one of my PRIZED possessions!!!

This is a shot of the hall closet, in which Den added strip LED lighting - you could almost land an airplane by the wonderful lighting that it gives off!  He put a pressure switch in the lower part of the middle door and it shuts the light off when the door is shut.! Love it!

Den removed the toilet that was aimed kitty cornered and about 5 inches from the wall... here he is cutting the hole farther back, and then he made it face the sink cabinet, with TP holder inside, much easier to get around in there.. He had to move the water supply pipe several inches and then just plugged the original supply hose hole.

When he removed the lower panel under the book case cabinet in the living room, he discovered that this was where the inlet hose and vent hose were for the water to the camper, and the one hose was TOTALLY crimped shut (right next to the blue part... would not have worked!  So he cut it off a bit and re-clamped it and then put a floor over that area, which gave me about 15 more inches of shelving space in that area - lots of wasted space...

I might have showed this space in a previous post, but he took all of this plumbing apart, took the floor and re-routed all of this to the inside back of the cabinet and put a shelf under the large sink on the left.. and a new bottom to the cabinet.. Gave me LOTS of storage in there now.. For bins of kitchen items.

MEANWHILE:  This is what we dealt with all winter!! Trying to work out inside it in below 0º temps, with wind chills down to 20 below!  Fireplace going and 2 space heaters, and occasionally the propane heat running as well... He has insulated EVERY stitch of this rig that he could get to !!

This is an example - the bedroom was UNBEARABLY cold and drafty when we were working in there, and when he took the front 'shoe case' out, there was only aluminum foil in behind it - not one bit of insulation.. No WONDER we were cold!!

He put insulation as far into the roof as he could reach, and all behind and on each side of the 'shoe shelf' thing.. Big difference..

Here is where he was installing the new top drawer beside the sink.. Extension slides, and he built the 'box' and used the same drawer front that came with the little fold out bin, (which I am using in another cabinet for pens and such..)  He has managed to cram his body into places that I NEVER thought he would fit in! LOL!

Here is a shot of the table base - he cut 2" off of the post, as it was too high, and he also rotated it a quarter turn, now our chairs straddle the leg, instead of having to maneuver the chair legs around the 2 ''FEET'' of the pedestal..

Hold your breath, folks!  I wanted speakers in the bedroom, and he wanted to add some more lighting here and there, and change out some of the light switches, etc, so he pulled all of the lights out of the ceiling so that we could fish wires... he pushed and I pulled all the way from the back wall to the front of the bedroom closet... WHAT a job!

He took the panel just inside the door, to be able to get to the wires... He also took the panel off of the corner by the shower on the other side, so he could add blocking to the area... SCARY, huh?? LOL!  He added more blocking and wires for the switches  surge guard surge protector, (readout), ONAN generator control, charge Controller for the Solar Panels, 3 dimmer switches for the  12V lighting, 2-120V switches, one dimmer for the light box over the door, one off/on switch for the fan. Also while he had the wall open, he installed the relay for the for the additional motion sensor light, and a 12V light for the stairs to the bedroom.

Here are the holes he made for the bedroom speakers.

And still ANOTHER Blizzard.. this shot is of the river in front of the house......Some days he had to plow 3 times a day!!!

Our poor deer, we had 6 of them that were so hungry they were eating my boxwoods,  the Rhododendrons, and any other things that they could reach... this is just off of the corner of our porch...

Beginning to organize the closet storage...
He built in a shelf for his breathing machine as well.

Not sure if I posted a pic previously, but this is the light box and new pendants he installed..

He made the light trough for the water colors of Male and Female Cardinals that a friend made for me, and installed the Stained Glass entry insert.. LOVE IT!

We found a new under mount soap dispenser at our Local Menard's,  goes well with the faucet!

2 of the 3 Solar Panels mounted so far!

With the bedroom slide in, we can easily access the bathroom when stopping at a rest area... SO nice !!

Microwave removed to be able to cut the hole for the outside vent..

He pulled the bedroom dresser drawers, and ran his wiring for the LED lights for the awning... They are hidden behind the chase for the 'washer pipes'.

Keyless entry installed!

Now on to the Air suspension and new tires.... He can tell you all about that stuff when you see him....

He even had ME on that scooter showing me what had done and what else he would be doing...

Now, more "GIRL FLUFF!  I stenciled lace trim in the corners of the screen..

This is the new bumper he built - diamond plate and

the lift up end caps... they lock when in the 'down position' and won't lose the hose...

The new flag mount with Solar LED light and new lighted license plate position.. our Tire cover is over the original.

Sunset on our river the night before we left to come up here!  We FINALLY had a moment to sit down and reflect on our BUSY, BUSY last 15 months!!!!!  We have not CONSTANTLY been that busy since we built our HOUSE 25 years ago!!! LOL!

Here we are in our first night in Dorchester, Wisconsin!  Then heading up to Rice Lake, and over to Rhinelander.

We won't be home till Mid July...

So, like I always SAY:  STAY TUNED, hopefully for TRAVEL Pix!! LOL!

NEWEST MODS to the 3675 (AKA:  Party Barge!!)

To go along with the microwave vent to the outside from the previous post:  This is the outside vent cover for that microwave vent!  Covered and the little 'flaps' inside open when it is running..

After he finished with the Microwave vent mod, he surprise me with a "Keyless entry" setup!  That way I will be able to get in if he is off shopping or visiting with WHO KNOWS WHO.... as he is often doing...  We will have our own easy to remember numbers.

When we purchased our rig, we asked the dealer if he would switch out 2 of the furnished chairs with 2 folding ones INSTEAD... Well, they ended up GIVING us the 2 folding ones.... so we are storing the 2 originals and will carry these folding ones along.  So Den sewed a padded bag for them and they will ride in this front compartment.  He secured them to the wall and can get to them easily if needed...

That is all for this post - he removed all 4 of the slide head supports last week and welded up a 'brace' to (hopefully) keep them from bending, re-installed them and adjusted the slides.  PERFECT now!

He also removed the 3 original steps at entry, painted the new 4 step entry and will install as soon as the weather clears... also, will add 4 new carpet step covers..

So --- STAY TUNED!!!!!  LOL!
