NEWEST MODS to the 3675 (AKA:  Party Barge!!)

To go along with the microwave vent to the outside from the previous post:  This is the outside vent cover for that microwave vent!  Covered and the little 'flaps' inside open when it is running..

After he finished with the Microwave vent mod, he surprise me with a "Keyless entry" setup!  That way I will be able to get in if he is off shopping or visiting with WHO KNOWS WHO.... as he is often doing...  We will have our own easy to remember numbers.

When we purchased our rig, we asked the dealer if he would switch out 2 of the furnished chairs with 2 folding ones INSTEAD... Well, they ended up GIVING us the 2 folding ones.... so we are storing the 2 originals and will carry these folding ones along.  So Den sewed a padded bag for them and they will ride in this front compartment.  He secured them to the wall and can get to them easily if needed...

That is all for this post - he removed all 4 of the slide head supports last week and welded up a 'brace' to (hopefully) keep them from bending, re-installed them and adjusted the slides.  PERFECT now!

He also removed the 3 original steps at entry, painted the new 4 step entry and will install as soon as the weather clears... also, will add 4 new carpet step covers..

So --- STAY TUNED!!!!!  LOL!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!

Busy month or more- working on the New rig and getting the 07 rig ready for sale!  Honey has been doing a LOT of work on the new - adding LED lighting in several places, ordered out a new awning that will go across the rest of the entry door area - covering dinette area and recliner area in that slide!  Should keep it cooler in there!  He ordered a "keypad'' entry door handle - we will have our own number to use..  He has been sorting out and tightening up the ductwork under the camper, tying wire bundles together, adding power panels for the solar panels, electric "CHEAP HEAT" system that he put onto the regular regular furnace - now can run on Electric heat or Propane...  Also, he added the 3 solar panels and the gauges inside for the inverter/convertor ...

So, Yesterday, he cut open the side of the camper where the Microwave goes - it discharged INTO the camper - so any steamy cooking was sent to the ceiling, instead of outside - he cut open the inside and outside and I helped him put it back up and secure it... - pushing the cord through the hanging brace and side of cabinet.. Works GREAT and So glad he did it!!

Here are a few pictures of the latest mods!

He added 'sticky side' foam insulation to both the opening inside and the back vent opening of the microwave.

All trim back in place and looking great!  Will take a pic of the outside vent cover when he gets it on....

Two years ago, when we first saw this floor plan in Indiana - I fell in LOVE with it!  Just about the only "glitch" was that we would not be able to get into the bathroom when we pulled into a rest area.. as the Door to the bathroom swung OUT into the hallway - It looked to me that it could be switched to swing inward, (the company did not think that was possible, because of the shower...)  Well, that was one of the FIRST things we did when we got this rig home - switch the hinges around and the door latch and swap the trim pieces from out to in...  The door swings IN and plenty of room to get into the bathroom - this pic is with the SLIDE in... My logic is that when you are IN the bathroom for 'whatever reason' the door is shut Anyway... so it is NOT in the way of the shower!  this will work FINE for us...

This is a pic of the 3 solar panels, in process of being attached and wired in..  I took this from the top of the man lift!  Daughter was SCARED To death! LOL!

I will be posting more of the mods that he is making as we go forward - currently he is removing the 20 feet or so EXTRA of duct tubes that were in the underbelly - adding a LOT more insulation and more gauges for the solar panels and "Cheap Heat" thing that he is attaching to the furnace - it will make the furnace run on electric OR propane...

He also installed a 'Remote powered' inverter switch, so I can use the power of the Solar panels to run ANY electric item - only thing it won't do is run the air conditioner.

We also made a discovery that we can even get into the refrigerator and sit at the table for a quick lunch when we pull into a rest area - we only have to put the Dinette side slide out out about a foot or so... Easily getting the left fridge open... (it is not in the way of the slide in any way....)

To be Continued!  SO

STAY TUNED!!!
