HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!!!! 24 years ago on THIS day, my sweet Hubby and I celebrated a Beautiful Fall day with our Wedding on our property! We had almost 250 Friends and Family there to share in our Celebration on that day - He STILL likes ME and I STILL like HIM!!!!! LOL!
So this morning, we pulled out of our beautiful Campground in Sequoia National Park and left these Mountains and HUGE Trees for the Flat, hot desert valley.....
Drove through areas of crops such as corn, nuts, and all types of fruits, and a Surprise for ME: Cotton!
Pretty much the same type of scenery all along the way. Rolling, dry hills for MILES!!
Then drove past an area of Miles and Miles of wind generators. And there IS a lot of dry wind out here!!
Got into our Campground at Barstow, California late afternoon, and took a few shots of the scenery behind our KOA Campground....as the sun was getting low in the sky.
Nice room around campers, with privet hedges between campers, giving more privacy
On down the road this morning, heading for Las Vegas for a few days with family!
Rolling hills and mountains here and there in the distance, all along Route 15.
Hit the Nevada border near noon.
And as we entered Las Vegas, shortly AFTER we passed this exit sign, we had a blowout on the camper! Shredded the tire, so after Den changed it we were on our way to our Campground at Arizona Charlie's.
Along the freeways, they have these really neat sculptures made of rusty iron of different Critters, horses, sheep, etc... LOVE THEM!
Got to our campground mid-afternoon, and Den called around for tires and to set up an appointment to get the Truck and Rig washed and waxed... HOPEFULLY it will stay clean for this next run on our trip - Down to Albuquerque for the Balloon Festival Next WEEK!!!!!!
We are presently in Arizona Charlie's for a few days, visiting family and getting the refrigerator and pantry re-stocked and a bit of cleaning done....
