Hoping to catch up on posting here soon!
Pulled out of our Alaskan Angler RV park about 9:00 and on down the road - stopped at a pullout and had a nice lunch in our camper - withe THIS as our view out of the living room window.
Got to our campground near Seward early afternoon, Stoney Creek RV Park - HIGHLY recommend! $38.00 per night and wifi , Cable and electric.. Dump station. Cable and WIFI were EXCELLENT! - just too busy to post every day! LOL! Very quiet at night and yet just a very few miles to town of Seward.
This is the view behind our camper!!!!
And looking in the other direction:
After we got set up at the campground, we went over to the Exit Glacier. Very interesting to see the "marked posts" of where the glacier came to at different times in the more than 100 years since they have been checking. It is definitely shrinking.....
Runoff from the glacier melting.
Then we left the glacier and took a quick tour of the town of Seward. This Cruise ship had just pulled into port, so I took a quick pic of it and glad I did, as it was gone the next morning.
Mountains all around the town (city?) of 3000 residents.
Back to camp and had dinner of leftovers and then stuffed the crockpot with a big ham hock, onion, celery and a bag of '9 bean' soup beans, and a half bottle of Italian dressing. Cooked all night.
Continued!!!!!!
