Left Sherk's RV park at Valleyview this morning (the 10th) (Den got laundry finished last night and I got vacuuming done for a couple of weeks).
Stopped at Beaverlodge, so that TG could get his 3 minutes of fame (Travelocity Gnome)… Poor baby has been riding in the back seat since we left home and we FINALLY gave him a chance to get out and get his picture taken!  He is with the "mascot'' of the town….

and on up the road to Grand Prairie to Michael's Craft Store for supplies for our sign for the ''Sign Forest'' at Watkins Lake… Well, after spending an hour and $70.00 for the supplies (wood plaque - which I have at HOME, and stencils, which I have at HOME, and a wood burning tool - which I have at HOME, and a bottle of paint, which I have at HOME… and a can of spray varnish (double the price up here!)… I FINALLY got my supplies to make the sign!!! LOL!  Then found one of the ONLY Burger Kings we have SEEN up here in a LONG time.!! On the road again and got to Dawson Creek (Northern Lights) Campground about 1:30… Here is the view from our campground:

We are pretty crammed in, like sardines!  Sort of the 'norm' for campgrounds here - sleep fast and hit it hard the next day.

- Time change again - I have NO clue what time zone we are in now! LOL!! Cable TV - almost all "Boy Channels"… Storage Wars, Chip Foose car stuff, somebody blowing stuff up… etc…. oh well…  Took 3 trips to the office to get wifi working but FINALLY got it going -

Today, (11th) we went into Dawson Creek to check out the town - not quite 12,000 people, just usual grocery, window repair, etc kind of places.

 Downtown Dawson Creek

Info from the Visitor's center:

FINALLY! TG gets up front with the picture!!

Some of the interesting sights around town - Murals painted on the old buildings are VERY well done!

Back to camp and I started the sign for the sign forest… Stencil, wood burned and painted the edge and back side…  Will spray varnish tomorrow night if it is not rainy or windy. Here it is so far:  Still have to do a final coat of finishing spray, hopefully this evening...

We just arrived at Fort Nelson - gravel sites, pretty level, lots more room than the last couple of nights..... Triple G Campground, $40.00per night...

Date stamp at top is going to be off, as wifi was SO slow last night in Dawson Creek C.G. and it took about 6 hours to load just these pix!

Will add today's ( June 12 )pix in a separate post...
