Winchester Bay, Oregon, and Cruisin down the 101!!

Sept 19, 2013

Left our Beautiful campsite at Winchester Bay this morning, and headed on down the road in Beautiful sunshine.. Just before we crossed the bridge at Coos Bay,  we stopped at this Memorial  for Veterans.. There were a lot of flags placed all along the walkways, honoring those who have lost their lives while serving...

Here is the interesting bridge we crossed.

As we were leaving out of Coos Bay, we came upon this logging truck hauling a HUGE log!  Wold love to see what will be made from this!!!!

Came upon another neat bridge!

And then we began to see the Wonderful rocks and beaches!

And the fog rolled in and out most of the way along the coast.

And cleared just as quickly....

HUGE Trees at the beginning of the Redwoods, shortly before we got to our campground, near Klamath, California.

Got to add California to our State map!!!!!

I was just heating dinner when I looked out the kitchen window and saw a group of people looking toward the woods and went out and this approximately 400 Pound Bear was 'cleaning out the bucket' where guys clean their fish!   The Camp host ran him off and he came back and looked for MORE!!!

This guy was a bit too close for comfort, but the bear was not interested in HIM, he just wanted MORE FISH GUTS!!!

This was all of the postings to date - it rained all day today, so we did not even leave our camper..... Needed the rest and I tried to catch up with posts between rain showers and thunder AND LIGHTENING!! Knocked out the cable and wifi for a while..

Check back, cause the trip is NOT OVER!!!!
